BOXING SENSATION
LICENCE OF MURPHY SUSPENDED, THAT OF JONES REVOKED (Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 7. A statement issued by the New Zealand Boxing Council tonight says: “The council met this evening to further its investigation into boxing contests held under the auspices of the Hutt Valley Boxing Association. The council had called on Bos Murphy to attend the meeting, but he conveyed, through his solicitor, his refusal to do so. The council has suspended .Murphy's licence and is continuing its investigations. “On certain admissions made by Willie Jones, lhe American boxer, his licence has been revoked.’’
