NEW UNDER-SECRETARY FOR WORKS

MR. D. W. COLEMAN, M.P.

(P.A.) Wellington, Feb. 26. Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P. for Gisborne, was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Minister of Works (Mr Semple) at a caucus of

the Parliamentary Labour Party, which commenced at Parliament Buildings to-day. Mr. Coleman, who has filled the position of junior Government Whip for some years, will assist Mr. Semple in an advisory capacity, mainly in connection with housing problems. Mr. Coleman is a builder by trade. Caucus is expected to last two days.
