The first* general monthly meeting of the Wanganui Compost Club for the present year was held on Thursday night and was well attended. The president, Mrs. Watkin, invited suggestions from members regarding the clubs future policy, and any such suggestions will be considered at the next meeting. The principal speaker was Mr. E. A. Watkin, who discussed an interesting though complex and technical, recently published theory of a universal underlying cause of all forms of plant and animal diseases.
