RAETIHI EWE FAIR

Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. Ltd., report on their annual Raetihi ewe fair held on February 20, as under ;An entry of 26,000 ewes came forward to a large attendance of buyers from Waikato, Main Trunk and West Coast. The Waikato secured most o. the best lines of 5-year ewes. The sheep came forward in excellent condition, and included some outstanding lines of hill-bred ewes, reflecting great credit on the breeders. The sale went forward with a swing and excellent prices resulted and competition was sustained to the finish of the sale.

Top price for 5-year ewes was securea by Mr. E. Robb at 32s 6d, followed by Messrs Mitchinson and Bott, at 31s Bd, and Mrs. Fulton, Kainui Station and Hunter and Sommerville, at 31s 2d, R. E. Punch, 31s.

Top price for 2-tooths was secured by Mrs. Fulton and F. McNie, at 40s Bd, followed closely by Kainui Station at 40s 2d.
