“WORK, SAVE, EXPORT!”

BRITAIN’S ORDER OF TO-DAY London, Feb. xd. Dr. Hugh Dalton (Chancellor of the Exchequer), in a speech in London yesterday, told the British Refrigeration Association that they must export their refrigerators rather than sell them at home. “I had a dream,” he said, “that someone had diverted the Gulf ■Stream as an opening act of world war three, and that the present cold spell was going to last indefinitely. You should act as if that were true, and send your refrigerators to areas where they will be more welcome.” The order of the day, the Chancellor added, was still “work, save and export.”
