PRESS ASSOCIATION JOINS REUTERS. (P.A.) Rotorua, Feb. 21. The decision of the Board «f Directors of the New Zealand Association to accept an invitation io enter into partnership with Reuters was unanimously ratified by a special general meeting of members to-day. Sir Cecil Leys has been appointed New Zealand’s first trustee of Reuters. Mr. R. A. G. Henderson, chairman of the Australian Associated Press, attended the meeting and explained the terms and advantages of Australian and New Zealand participation in the Reuter organisation. He invited the New Zealand Press Association to appoint a director to the board of- the Australian Associated Press Mr. J. M. Hardcastle, who has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Zealand Press Association, has been appointed to that cilice.
