NO ESTABLISHED TRADER WILL BE DISLODGED

(P.A.) Wellington, Jan. 29. An assurance that no traders already established would be disturbed by the Government because of the establishment of co-operative trading concerns in State housing areas, was given by the Minister of Rehabilitation (Mr. Skinner) in reply to an inquiry to-day. He said that if it were desired to take over any established business it would have to be a matter uf private treaty between the parties concerned. No one had anything to fear from the development of consumer co-operative societies, such as that in the Hutt Valley. He had no doubt that the consumer co - operative principle would be extended throughout New Zealand. (Earlier Story on Page 6.)
