PROFESSOR I. A. GORDON OFFERED THE POST (P.A.) Christchurch, Jan. 21 Professor I. A. Gordon, of Welling* ton, will be offered the post of Vice* Chancellor of the University of New Zealand. The Senate decided that the ap« pointment should be on a part-timi basis for one year, and that the posh tion should then be reviewed in tha light of developments with the appointment of academic heads of th< colleges. The present Vice-Chancellor (Sh Thomas Hunter) will retire at th« end of February.
