RECTOR OF PALMERSTON BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL RETIRES THIS MONTH

(P.A.) Palmerston North, Jan. 20. Widely and popularly known in teaching circles throughout the Dominion, Mr. J. Murray, M.A., who has been Rector of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School for 27 years, retires at the end of January. He has spent 50 years in the teaching profession, during 41 of which he way associated with the Palmerston North High School. Prior to the end of the the school year, Mr. Murray and Mrs. Murray were recipients of many tokens of appreciation, from the Board of Governors, the ’staff, the Old Pupils Association, parents and pupils. He will be succeeded by Mr., O. J. Begg, M.A., recently first assistant at King’s High School, Dunedin.
