OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM JOHN ORGAN (P.A.) Hastings, Jan. 8 The death occurred in Hastings this morning of Mr. William John Organ, barrister and solicitor, Wellington, and supervisor of the drafting of Parliamentary legislation. Mr. Organ suffered a heart attack. He was born in West port 71 years ago and educated at St. Patrick’s College, Wellington, where he was dux. Mr. Organ served in the first World War and was decorated with the Military Medal. He was also at one time Mayor of Eastbourne, Wellington, and in his early days was well known as a Wellington representative hockey player. Mr. Organ was unmarried.
