RAETIHI PERSONALS

Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Bhrford, who have been visiting Wanganui for tha Christmas and New Year holidays, have returned. Mr. Barford, who is manager of the Raetihi branch of the Bank of New Zealand, leaves early this month for Morrinsville, where he has been appointed manager of the branch in that centre. Mr. and Mrs. L. Rickards and family have left Raetihi for a holiday visit to Rotorua.

Mr. A. G. Sampson, of the Raetihi branch of Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., has returned after spending the Christmas and New Year holidays in Wanganui. Mr. A. S. Williamson, town clerk, Raetihi, and Mrs. Williamson, who have been visiting Thames for the holiday period, have returned. Mr. W. Hattie, who has been re- * lieving on the Raetihi staff of the Bank of New Zealand, left last night for Otahuhu to resume duty at the bank there. His place at Raetihi has been filled by Mr. G. Taylor, of Auckland.
