COUNTY PAYS A TRIBUTE TO TRAFFIC INSPECTOR
Warm tributes to the efficiency ot Mr. C. W. Homiblow, stationed in Marton as a traffic inspector for the Transport Department till his transfer to Thames this week were expressed at the monthly meeting yesterday of the Rangitikei County Council. “Mr. Horniblow not only did all that was required of him, but he did it in a nice way," said Cr. V. Smith. "It was a pleasure to be associated with him."
Cr, A. S. Coleman said he had ab ways found Mr. Horniblow very fair. He had the welfare of the town and country people at heart and protected their Interests. “He will be missed not only as a traffic inspector, but also as a resident of the town," Cr. Coleman added. Cr. J. R. L. Hammond: He showed how an obnoxious job could be done well and in the right spirit. A motion of appreciation was carried.
