Reed. 8 p.m. London, Oct. 31. Sir John Barran and Miss Esther Fisher, the New Zealand pianist, are shortly marrying in London. Miss Fisher, who came to England in 1923, told the "Daily Express": "I have known Sir John for many years. I don't intend to give up concerts and broadcasting.” Sir John Barran is a former member of the House of Commons. His wife died in 1939. He has three sons and a daughter, who is now Viscountess Mountgarret
