I SONERI BUILDS FINE RECORD INSIDE TWELVE MONTHS
Less than twelve months ago Soneri was eligible for maiden races. On Monday she beat a useful field at weight-for-age in the Harcourt Slakes at Awapum. on the second day of the 'Wellington Racing (.’lull’s spring meeting. The time for the mile ami a-quarter was not last, as might be expected under the conditions, but the Hulandshar marc won as she liked. Last November she won a division of the Maiden Race at the Levin meeting at Otaki, earning 1100. Monday's was her sixth win m succession in recent starts. | and included in her string of victories was the Winter Cup, worth 11150 to tlie winner. The Harcourt Stakes was worth £650 to the : winner.
