EXCELLENT YEAR ANTICIPATED The 1946-47 softball season opens to-morrow at Gonville Domain, All games commence at 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. sharp. Due to the ever-growing popularity ot the game a splendid season is anticipated. MEN’S SECTION DRAW. Draw for first, round of 19'16-47 men's softball season, commencing tomorrow is as follows: —Games to commence sharp at 1.30 p.m. and 3.15 p.m.:— November 2.- 1.30 p.m.: Wanganui East v McCaskeys, Woollen Mills v. Red Sox. 3.15 p.m.: Harriers v United, Star v. Giants. November 9.—Harriers v. Red Sox, United v Woollen Mills, Wanganui East v. Star. November 23.—United v Giants, Star v Harriers, Wanganui East v Woollen Mills, McCaskeys v. Red Sox. i November 30.—Wanganui East v United, Harriers v McCaskeys, Giants v Red Sox, Star v. Woollen Mills. December 7. Wanganui East v Harriers, Star v Red Sox, Giants v Woollen Mills, McCaskeys v United. December 14.—McSaskeys v. Gian Is, Wanganui East v Red Sox, Star \. United, Woollen Mills v. Harriers. WOMEN’S SECTION GAMES. The following is the draw for th° opening softball games in the women s section: — Zemba v.
