BRITISH WEAPONS TO BE STANDARDISED ON AMERICAN

London, Oct. 30. Cabinet has decided to standardise all British weapons and ammunition fs far as is possible, to the United States sizes and pattern, says the “Daily Express.” This will enable Britain, in any future emergency, to buy freely in the American market. Contemplated changes include conversion of .303-inch rifle to the United States .300 calibre. Cartridges will be grooved instead of rimmed. Mortars, field artillery, fighter aircraft, and some naval guns will have to be replaced. Britain and America also have agreed on an automatic exchange of information on all weapon development!,
