Wilson, St. John’s Hill. Miss Peggy Digby Best, who has been visiting Mrs. K. Prowse, Wanganui East, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. Lettie Annie Allen, of Ngaio, has the honour of being the first woman to sit on a jury in Wellington. She as called to the jury on Tuesday to hear a waterside worker’s claim. Concert and Dance At Fordell. Good items are promised for a concert and dance arranged by the Fordell Women's Institute to be held in the Fordell Hall t'o-night. There will be a well-stocked produce stall. New Shades In Millinery. One of the new shades in summer rmllinery is pumice. It is a soft and becoming shade, suitable for any colouring and tones warmly with a frock of any colour. It is smart in straw', finished with masses of veiling. Two new colours that are lovely are cornflower blue and crushed rose. White millinery will be very popular, as will also be the off-white or chalk shades, and the becoming shades of pale gold and honeygold which are making their appearance in straw models,
