SUDANESE PROTEST AT PROSPECT OF EGYPT TAKING OVER

Recd. 11.5 p.m. Loondon, Oct. 29. The "Times’” Khartoum correspondent says 10,000 members of the Sudanese u'm.M.A. Party, which opposes unity with Egypt, staged a procession along Omdurman’s main street, shouting: “Down with Imperialism,” “Down with the Condominium Government," “Long live the Free Independent Sudan.” The procession finished up at the Mahdi's Tomb, passing the District Commissioner’s house en route, and repeating their slogans at the top of their voices. Earlier a huge gathering at the U.M.M.A. Club, Omdurman, heard several speakers declare that Egyptian sovereignty over the Sudan would be resisted with their lives.
