CHURCHILL DEFENDED
Recd. 11 p.m. London, Oct. 29. Generalissimo Stalin’s answers to the American Press were commented on to-day in various quarters. Sir Harley Shawcross, commenting on Stalin’s reference to Mr. Churchill, said that he was sure Stalin was quite wrong. Stalin said that Russian forces in Europe were 60 divisions, and soon would be 40 divisions. It will be remembered that Mr. Churchill, in the House of Commons, asked whether it was true that Russia had 200 divisions in that area.
