LABOUR CANDIDATE VISITS KORONITI

'O.C.) Marton, Oct. 7. Mr. Denzil Capstick, Labour candidate for Rangitikei, visited the Maori settlement of Koriniti, up the Wanganui River, on Sunday, and attended a most enthusiastic meeting o£ friends and supporters, both Maori end pakeha, in the Koriniti meeting house.

Introducing the candidate, a speaker, on behalf of the Maori people, expressed the pleasure of the settlers of Koriniti in welcoming Mr. Capstick, as it was believed that thia was the first occasion on which a Parliamentary candidate had paid u visit to Koriniti.

The purpose of the visit was to enable Mr. Capstick to meet all friends end supporters of the Labour Party,
