Mr. and Mrs. H. Arnold are Wanganui visitors to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Noel Neilson, who have been staying at “Stonehurst,” Auckland, have returned to their home at Okoia.

Registered Nurses. A general meeting of the Registered Nurses’ Association was held on Tuesday night, when many matters of interest to the nursing profession were discussed. Miss E. E. Willcox, president, presided. Arrangements were made for the annual meeting which is to take place in November.

Victoria League. Members of the Victoria League Young Contingent held a very pleasant 5 o’clock tea party and meeting in the League Rooms yesterday. The president, Miss Jocelyn Turnbull, welcomed a good gathering of members, including several overseas brides. Community singing was enjoyed.

T G. Dominion Council. At the recent two-day council of the Dominion Federation of Townswomen's Guilds held in Wellington, the following executive commitee was elected: Mrs. S. Albert (Wellington), Mrs. S. Bingley (Wellington), Mrs. C. W. Corner (Napier), Mrs. A. W. Cameron (Port Ahuriri), Miss A. B. Cole (Wanganui), Mrs. M. Lovell-Smith (Hastings), Mrs. R. Lake (Christchurch), Mrs. L. G. B. McAlister (Timaru), Mrs. L. Faulkner Smith (Wellington), and Mrs. Mrs. L. Wilson (Christchurch). The Mayoress (Mrs. Appleton) in opening the council, complimented guild members on their war service.
