OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF DISCOVERY

Official word has been received by Mrs. P. H. Ward. Wanganui, from the Secretary of the Air Department (Mr. T. A. Barrow) confirming that the grave of the late Sergeant J. A. Ward, V.C., has been discovered and identified in Hamburg, Germany. He was reported missing, believed dead, four years ago. Steps are being taken to re-inter the body in a cemetery being specially laid out near Hamburg, in which British airmen will be buried.
