Royal Heir, one of the most brilliant sprinters in commission, was allowed to go out as the outsider of the field in the Tikokino Handicap at the Hawke’s Bay Hunt Club meeting at Hastings on Saturday, but that did not prevent him from winning easily, to return a dividend not far short of three score. In the preceding event Foreign Gold beat the favourite, Lanoma, and paid over a score.
