HARBOUR BOARD’S NEW WOOL STORE The Wanganui Harbour Board has decided to officially open its new wool store at Castleclilf on the afternoon of Monday, July 5. Invitations are to be sent to the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), the Minister of Works <Mr Semple) ana the Minister of Marine <Mr O'Brien). A loan of f!6,800 was raised for the construction of the new store, which is almost completed. It is part oi the board's programme of providing additional port facilities for the ultimate expansion which is to take place at Castlecliff, but in the meantime will be used for the storage of wool. The first batch of wool will arrive at the new store at the end of this week. A letter from the New Zealand Wool Disposal Commission, received at the board's monthly meeting yesterday, indicated that 14.200 bales would be available for storing in the shed as soon as it was ready.
