DR. G. F. FISHER, Archbishop of Canterbury. Dr. Fisher was nominated as Primate of England in succession to the late Dr. Temple early last year after being Bishop of London since 1939. He was the headmaster of Repton School from 1914 until 1932, when he became Bishop of Chester. He married, in 1917, the grand-daughter of the late Dr. S. A. Spears, a former headmaster of Repton School, and they have six sons, four of whom served in the forces during the war.
