COST ESTIMATED AT £282,500 London, June 28. The Civil Estimates presented in the House of Commons, revealed that the cost of the Victory celebrations was estimated at 4282,500, including the cost of construction of the saluting base and various works in the Royal parks, £70,000; decorations and floodlighting, £50,000; the fireworks display, £27,000; transport, accommodation, etc., of the home and overseas civilian contingents, £22,000; hospitality and entertainment of official guests and Dominion, Colonial. Indian and Allied contingents, £BO,OOO.
