DEATH OF MR. R. B. LUSK
JUDGE AT ELLERSLIE FOR NEARLY 40 YEARS (P.A.) Auckland, May 28. Robert Butler Lusk, for 37 years I judge to the Auckland Racing Club, and in his younger days a prominant athlete, died at his home in Auckland in his 79th. year. Mr. Lusk, who represented Auckland in ’? '.gby representative matches from If * to 1889, played against the British Lam which toured New Zealand in 1888. He was the last suiwiving member of the team which played against New South Wales in 1886 Mr. Lusk, who was a barrister and solicitor, was appointed as jiuige to the Auckland Racing Club in 1900. He was later appointed judge to the Takapuna Jockey Club and occupied the box at meetings al Gisborne. Trent ham, Wanganui, Blenheim. Te Rapa, Te Aroha. Waipa, and AvonHe is survived by his wife and three children.
