RAN.GITIKEI ELECTORATE HEADQUARTERS (O C.) Marton. May 20. *1 desire to inform you that until objections at present being considered by the Representation Commission are dealt with and the new defined boundaries are proclaimed, no action will be taken to select headquarters for the various electorates,” states the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) in a letter to the Marton Chamber of Commerce. The chamber had written asking confirmation or denial of a rumour that the headquarters of the Rangitlbei electorate were being shifted from Marton to Feilding, now that town had been included in the boundaiv for Rangitikei The Prime Minister assured the chamber that in making the selection, the claims of the town of Marton to retaining the headquarters of the Registrar of Electors and Returning Offi- j cer of the new Rangitikei electorate I would be borne in mind and given ’ ’.cry careful consideration.
