Dr. C. O. Hutton, of the .Geological Survey, who has been an honorary lecturer at Victoria University College, has resigned to accept a staff position at Canterbury University College. Mr. P. E. Miller, managing-director of the Lister Separator Co. (N.Z.), Ltd., returned to Auckland by air on Friday after a five weeks’ visit to Sydney and Melbourne. Mr. R. G. Dick, Surveyor-General, of Wellington, and Mr. C. K. Grierson, of Auckland, returned to Auckland from Sydney by air on Friday, after having attended a conference of survey boards in Adelaide.

Mr. E. Landsdowne, assistant manager in London of the North British and Mercantile Insurance Co., Ltd,, and Mr. W. R. Cave, manager for Australia and New Zealand, arrived in Auckland by air on Friday. They will remain in New Zealand until about May 8.
