SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP TO L. BROWNLIE SOMERSET WINS INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION The annual athletic sports conducted by the Wanganui Girls College were held on Wednesday afternoon. Overhead conditions were ideal and the ground was in good order. The Senior Championship was won by L. Brownie who compiled a considerable lead in points over the other competitors, winning by 23 points against the runners up total of JU. The Intermediate and Junior Championships were won by N. Jackson and Y. Ellis (equal) and J. Brown respectively. The inter-house competition resulted in a win foi’ Somerset (64 points) over Surrey (42i) and Lincoln (41).
