VODANOVICH CUP REVIVED

INTER-CLUB ROWING To-morrow morning, commencing at 10 o’clock, an inter-club rowing fixture will take place over the lower course. The race, which is for the Vadanovich Cup, was, prior to the war, an annuaj event competed for by all rowing clubs in Wanganui. This year will be the first time the race has been conducted since 1939, whefi it was suspended on account of hostilities. The Union Boating Club will be defending the cup against crews representing Wanganui and Aramoho. A condition governing entries for this race provide that only a crew which has won a trophy or a similar distinction either within their own club or in an interclub race during the season are eligible. The following crews will represent the various clubs:— UNION—H. Benge stroke), J. Minnell (3), C. Butters (2), K. Patterson (bow). ARAMOHO. —W. James (stroke), E. Johnson (3), R. Kendrick (2), L. Ahern (bow), K. Ahern (cox). WANGANUI—N. Foster (stroke), R. Gould (3), E. Gould (2), D. Ross (bow), N. Roworth (cox).
