BURNING OF REFUSE
BONFIRES IN BOMBAY Bombay, April 9. Congress volunteers lit bonfires in ‘the city streets to burn the refuse which has accumulated after 11.000 municinal sweepers started their strike for more pay five days ago. The strike, which also affects drivers of municinal dust vans, shows no signs of ending.
