FORGED WAR LOAN BONDS
DISCOVERY IN BRITAIN 11 * 30 P- m - London, April 11. The Bank of England has called in Scotland Yard following the discovery of a number of forged three and ahalf per cent, war loan bonds, which came into the hands o£ a stockbroker m the ordinary course of business, He immediately submitted them to the bank for examination. The “Daily Telegraph,’’ says it is understood the forgeries include a series purporting to represent £lOOO. They are of poor workmanship, and on poor paper, but it is expected more will be discovered, and stockbrokers have been warned.
