JUNIOR VICTORIA LEAGUE

MEMBER WELCOMED HOME As a welcome home to a member, Miss S. Gilbert, who returned recently after serving as a V.A.D. in Italy, the Young Contingent of the Wanganui Victoria League held a social evening on Tuesday in the League rooms, when there was an attendance of close on twenty members. Miss Jocelyn Turnbull presented the honoured guest with a spray of flowers. The "beetle" game was enjoyed, after which Miss Gilbert gave a talk on her work, travels and experiences while overseas., She later showed members a collection of lovelv articles and lace she had brought from overseas.
