TRANSPORT OF FODDER
CONFERENCE DISCUSSES PROPOSALS (P.A.) Wellington, March 7. Plans for the transport of fodder from the South Island to where it is required in the North were discussed at a conference held to-day in the office of the Prime Minister. The conference was attended by the Ministers of Supply and Agriculture, the Acting Minister of Labour and representatives of shipping interests and State Departments. The Prime Minister stated to-night that various proposals were examined and considerable progress made. Arrangements would be announced as soon as completed.
