IMPLICATIONS RESENTED BY U.S. GENERAL London, March 4. By and large, the Americans in Germany were not immoral and indecent, said Major-Genoral Miller White, deputy Chief of Staff at United States headquarters, discussing charges that German girls were spending nights within (he United States headquarters compound. The Frankfurt correspondent of the Associated Press reports that MajorGeneral White said ho resented such implications, and added.that the Army would probably investigate the charges immediately. He said: “Th'ie is no regulation to stop a man from entertaining a girl overnight in his quarters, but if wo find flagrant case*> of unbecoming conduct we can take act'on.” The correspondent savs junior staff officers stated unofficially that there were “probably dozens of women snpnding nights within the compound.”
