LAST MANGAWEKA MAN RETURNS

(0.C.) Mangaweka, March 2. With the exception of a J-Force man, the last of the returned men to come back to the Mangaweka district arrived here on Wednesday. He was Sapper Jim Stowers, who left New Zealand with the 13th. reinforcements in September, 1944, and proceeded to Egypt, where he joined the Bth. Field Company (Engineers). Later he was sent on to Italy, where he went right up to Trieste.
