TAXATION RETURNS
AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB
Taxation amounting to £23,798 7s 2d will be paid to the Government as the result of the meetings held at Alexandra Park on February 2 and 9. The returns are as follows: Totalisator tax, £12,482 17s 6d: dividend tax, £10,921 16s; amusement tax, £253 3s 8d; stakes tax. £l4O 10s. The club will hold its autumn meeting on March 23, when £7lOO will be distributed in stakes. The principal races will be: Fergusson Handicap, of £l5OO, limit, 4.33, two miles: and the Papatoetoe Handicap, of £l5OO, limit, 2 42; one mile and a-quarter.
