DISCONTENT IN AUSTRALIA

Reed. 10 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 29. With Air Force demobilisation almost at a standstill. causing widespread discontent. R.A.A.F. airmen are being asked to sign on for two more years.

This has given rise to much discontent among men with long service. The men charge that R.A.A.F. stations are being kept at strength unnecessarily to retain the acting rank of officers.
