Miss Jill Beauchamp returns to Wanganui to-day irom a holiday visit to Christchurch. Miss V. Parsons, who has been visiting Wanganui, has returned to Hawera. Miss Kathleen O'Toole, College Street, leaves to-day for Dunedin to continue her studies in Home Science at the Otago University. Mrs. Tom Wright, Melbourne, is visiting Wanganui for the wedding ot her s.ster. Miss Penrhyn Hutton. Miss M. E. itaker, principal of the Girls’ College, has returned ta Wan ganui after spending the school holidays in the South Island.

Mrs. N. Lynch, Mrs. J. Beattie and Mrs. A.’Fisher are among Wanganui visitors to New Plymouth for the croquet tournament.

Mrs. A. R. Kennedy, who recently arrived from England on a vis.t to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Ziesier, Wanganui, has been spending a holiday at Nelson. She intends returning to Wanganui at the end of the week. She has her two small sons with her Misses K. and N. Roache, of “Roseville," Kaitoke, are leaving to-day ftir a holiday in the South Island, They will be accompanying Miss N. Luxforci, Wanganui East, who'is to begin as a university student, in Dunedin.

Mrs. D. H. Oldfield, with her small son, who has been staying with hei parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Brod.e St.- Hill Street, for some considerable time, has left for Auckland to join hei husband, who has returned from service ir. the Pacific. They will make their home in Auckland, where Mrs Oldfield will continue with her ait work.

After a rest in U.S.A., Miss Gladys Moncrieff will devote herself to broadcasting. Now appearing in Melbourne in a revival of “Maid of the Mountains," one of her greatest successes, Miss Moncrieff intends to take a long holiday in U.S.A, when her present engagement with J. C. Williamson Ltd., ends after the forthcoming New Zealand tour. Miss Moncrieff said that the broadcasting medium appealed to her enormously, but before she made any plans she would first enjoy a long holiday, to which she felt she was entitled .also renew her many friendships in U.S.A.
