INFANTILE PARALYSIS IN THE SOUTH

-A.) Dunedin, Jan. 23. Three new positive cases of infa ft tile paralysis have been reported in Otago since yesterday. Two were not attended with actual paralysis, and other case is affected in the leg. From the beginning of November the total is now IS. The district medical officer, Dr. G. O. L. Dempster, said to-day that the majority of young patients were responding well to treatment, and it appeared that most of them would escape deformity. No decision has yet been reached whether primary schools will reopen for the first term on February 4.
