The Executive Council of the Federation of Labour has sent a mes ago to all “Congressmen urging approval of he proposed 4,400,000,000 dollar credit to Britain “as a business proposition. not on a sentimental basis.” It added: “American people have not yet grasped and accepted the broad responsibilities which they must undertake to further the can e of world peace. I. is not enough to maintain occupation forces in conquered nations, and join the United Nations. World peace may bo negotiated on a diplomatic level, and protected by military measures, but it depends basical) v on a sou rd and p. osperou world economy, providing opportunity for each na ion tn establish a decent standard of living lor its people.”
