WANGANUI BOWLING CLUB TOURNAMENT A very successful all-day tournament was held on the Wanganui Bowling Club’s green for the Anniversary Day holiday, 18 fours taking part in five rounds of play. The team skipped by W. J. Stone proved successful in all five games. Results:—

JOHN’S CLUB With eight teams visiting Waverley there was a small attendance at the St. John's green and the 28 players engaged in a progressive pairs tournament of five rounds. The following took part.—Skips: Bassett, Tizard, Herd, Ormsby, Bates, McPhail, Hutchinson, Moffatt, Michie, Caird, Ansell, Murch, Ginn and Green. Leads: Dymock, Jackson, Hermans, Williams, Thomas, Hadfield, Greager, Kaywood, Elliott, Payne, Robson, Peat, Allen and Keating. The winning skip was Herd, with five wins, the runners-up being Tizard, Murch, and Ginn with four wins. Four leads tied with four wins, singles games of five ends being played to find the winner. Kaywood beat Hermans and Robson beat Allen. In the final Robson beat Kaywood by 5 to 4 on an extra end. The winner is only a first-season player.
