OBITUARY

MRS. L. A. PRATT The death is announced of Mrs. L. A. Pratt, of Thames, well known for her interest in social and benevole: .. work over many years. She also took a prominent part in the activities of St. James’ Presbyterian Church. MR. C. G. DURRANT A veteran of .the First World War and winner of the Military Medal, Mr. Cli. ord George Durrant, of Grange Road, Henderson, died in the Auckland Hospital last week, aged 63 years. Mr. Durrant was a blacksmith by trade, and when the work became too heavy for him he undertook the growing of tobacco in the Nelson district. He went to Auckland about 14 years ago. He is survived by his wife, a son, and three daughters’.
