FEILDINB SALE

(p.A.) Feilding, Jan. 18. A very buoyant market developed for store sheep at the Feilding sale to-day, despite a very heavy entry. Prices for store lambs held very steady at a good level/and the highlight of the sale was 26s 2d, which Mr. A. Bartlett, Kimbolton, obtained for a fairly large draft of shorn wether lambs in wonderful condition. Other good lines of wether lambs made to 24s 3d, but the average value was about 17s for attractive sorts. Practically the whole of the heavy yarding sold at auction, with the market giving every indication of holding firm. A small entry of fat sheep brought good values, while for cattle the demand was very satisfactory, particularly for forward conditioned bullocks. A very small penning of dairy cattle sold at late rates, and beef made unchanged values, hardly anything but ex-dairy being available.
