Mr. Hallyburton-Johnstone is a member of a well-known family in the electorate. He has been actively associated with many local and public organisations, notably s president of the Waikato Sub-provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, and latterly as provisional president of the newly-formed Waikato province of Federated Farmers.
