TARANAKI-WANGANUI MATCH • AN EUMINATION A three-day Hawke Cup elimination cricket match between Wanganui and Taranaki will begin on Cook’s Gardens to-day. A further change in the Wanganui team is announced, H. F. Low, slow-bowler, is unavailable, and he has been replaced by G. N. McDougall. L. Davies is now 12th man. The teams are:— Wanganui.—H. Cuming (captain), J. Bergerson, R. Brown, W. Dyhrberg, J. H. Felts, K. Hunt, G. N. McDougall, R. E. Thomas, R. I. Sewell, L. Condhffe, W. A. Priest. 12th man: L. Davies. Taranaki.—A. M. Matheson O. M. Nasmith, S. Betts, R. T. Harns, R. Simpson, M. Poole, J. D. Ridland, J. Meuli, D. Dunbar, D. Skipper and A. Kibblewhite. Play will begin at 10.30 a.m. The umpires are Messi’s. R. A. Grade (Hawera) and R. A. Kilpatrick (Wanganui). To-day a further Hawke Cup elimination match will begin in Masterton between Rangitikei and Wairarapa. MANAWATU CHALLENGED The selectors of the Manawatu Cricket Association, Messrs. A. M. Ongley, W. E. Norris and L. Mullins, have chosen the following team to represent Manawatu in delence of the Hawke Cup against Hawke's Bay in a three-day match at Palmerston North, commencing on Anniversary Day:— W. E. Norris (Palmerston North), captain; T. Downes and W. Millar (United); E. Barraud (Old Boys); R. Diiks and C. C. McVicar (City); W. Pollitt (High School); M. A. Ongley, J. A. Ongley, N. Sheer and I. Campbell (Palmerston North). Reserves: D. Bowden (Old Boys) and G. Berquist (Kia Toa).

The Hawice's Bay team will arrive at Palmerston North on Monday and will be provided with practice facilities during the afternoon. Messrs. Hubbard and Hassell, provided they are available, will be umpires, and Mr. J. Gallichan will be official scorer.
