STRATFORD SOUVENIR PROGRAMME
A novel and attractive souvenir programme was issued by the Stratford Racing Club for its Victory Cup meeting on New Year’s Day. The race-book cover was in five colours, on the front being snapshots of the King and Queen inset a.»ove the New Zealand fernleaves, with the club’s scroll above them and the lot surmounted by the flags of the Big Five. The back cover was devoted to a tribute to the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, also in colours. Beside, the title of each race was a sketch of the personage after whom the event was named, such as the Freyberg Hurdles, the Churchill Trial Stakes and the Upham Juvenile. The race-book was certainly a credit to responsible for its compilation.
