ARAB APPEAL TO BOYCOTT EVERYTHING JEWISH

Recd. 6 p.m. Cairo, Jan. 8. The Arab Higher Committee has prepared a proclamation appealing to Arabs throughout Palestine to boycott everything Jewish, reports Reuter’s correspondent in Jerusalem. The proclamation will appear in all Arab newspapers to-morrow. Jewish shops, factories, transport, cinemas, cafes, and Zionist lawyers, who have many Arab clients, all come under the ban. The proclamation refers to dangers menacing Arab existence in Palestine and declares that the boycott decision was taken m i.ider to defend it.

A sub-comm idee of Arab experts, which is co-ordinating boycott details, is trying to secure the release of imports and exports from control, to enable goods from neighbouring Arab countries to be brought into Palestine.

Police in Jerusalem in continuance of the hunt for terrorists, again cordoned off the area in the Rehavia quarter in Jerusalem. They found the electric mechanism of bomb batteries.
