WHAT PALESTINE CAN ABSORB
Recd. 11.15 p.m. Washington, Jan. 8 Mr. Robert Nathan, consulting economist, told tire Britisli-Ameri. can Palestine Inquiry Committee, that Palestine could advantageously absorb 615,00(1 to 1,125,000 displaced Jews within ten years. Mr. Nathc, .’s estimate is estimated on two years' '•tuJy. of Palestine’s economic possibilities, undertaken by him and his associates for the AmericanPaiestine Institute. Earlier witnesses estimated that the number of displaced unrepatriabie Jews in Europe is about 600,000.
